DOMINGOS RECTORIA CERRADA
“I’m back to school,” are the echoing words from children these days. I hope these are words of excitement, of eagerness to learn, of enthusiasm to build wisdom or of a bright future ahead. In today’s society with twenty-four-hour TV channels and the Internet constantly offering many options to our children, you soon begin to feel how they can really concentrate to their studies becoming the best of themselves. It might be good, with the parent’s help, to put things in proper perspective.
I would encourage every parent to keep abreast of every development, investigate every issue and worry about what’s happening with their children after school. Let them know you care about them and can relate to what they are going through. Take note although it may not seem important, you never know what an incredible gift of insight your few words could mean to them. I believe every parent should build a “partnership” with their children. Just to remind that your children are running a “race” - the name of the race is called “future” - you should be a faithful partner to this race. In this race, there will be many opportunities to give up. Doubts, limitations, fears and overwhelming challenges often serve as obstacles. To finish the race it entails a strong partnership.
My dear parents, to finish well this race you need another partner: God. Many times His strength takes over where your weakness begins. This could mean placing your confidence in God, you will surely endure. His strength will never go away. Remember this God knows you won’t be able to do it on your own. So, He expects you to ask. Thank you for bringing your kids to Catholic School.
As a Catholic School we take importance God's participation in everything we think and do. God designed us with purpose. Let us try to be the different vessel that carry His spirit in this world. Whenever we allow God to fill us with His grace everything becomes possible.
THE WHOLE COMMUNITY OF ST. NICHOLAS OF TOLENTINE WELCOMES OUR CHILDREN BACK TO SCHOOL.
